Expunction Process

If you have been arrested for a crime in Texas and the charge is later dismissed, odds are YOU HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD. The accused in a criminal case must take the initiative to seal his or her criminal records after a dismissal by filing a civil lawsuit called an Expunction. Even individuals placed on deferred adjudication community supervision may later have a district court judge enter an Order of Non-Disclosure in most criminal cases.
